Deep in the North Kitsap Peninsula, there is a pond that rises out of an aquifer, forming into a trickle that becomes a stream, all of which feeds into Appletree Cove and out to the Puget Sound. Kingfisher Creek originates in a pasture on a farm which doubles as our spiritual home, namesake and inspiration.

Kingfisher represents a new style of restaurant: a multi-use space that operates as a boutique food market, a cozy wine bar, and the home of our most ambitious culinary dreams.

In the mornings, drop in for fresh breads, organic produce, our house-made grocery items and other essentials. Pull up with your coffee, smoothie, breakfast or lunch from next door (Café Hitchcock, our sister restaurant and friendly neighborhood all-day café) and browse, stock your larder, or just hang out.

By mid-day, our wine bar opens up with a selection of wines (focused on organic/biodynamics, natural techniques, small producers and creative expressions), ciders, sake and sherry, alongside the sort of small plates that encourage leisurely conversation with a good friend. All this, served forth in a casually elegant environment, with surprises on the plate and in the glass. We're inspired by the traditions of the Japanese izakaya and the Spanish pintxo bar - places where snacks, drinks & conversations flow together seamlessly.

Several times a month, we’ll host the kind of dinners that stir our soul - convivial, communal prix fixe dinners that tantalize, surprise and delight the senses. The supperclub is our playground and the seat of our highest culinary ambitions, a return to the chef tasting format that we built our name on over a decade ago. Dinners will be ticketed, five courses for $150, with optional beverages pairings and a la carte options.

Kingfisher opens 11/19 for market and wine bar service. Follow along @kingfisher.market for updates!
