When our restaurants were shut down in March 2020, we reached out to some friends, family & fans to see if they wanted personalized wine selections to keep them company during the stay-at-home order. Word about this “low-key pandemic wine club” spread and soon enough, this remote sommelier service became one of the brightest spots during a dark time, both for our members, and for us.

Thanks to the huge support of our members, this passion project side hustle has gone legit. Now we are, officially, the Essential Wine Club. Because WINE IS ESSENTIAL!

Essential Wine Club brings professional sommelier service to your home with no contact.  HRG Beverage Director Alexandra Stang (Advanced Sommeliere, CMS) connects with club members individually for a phone consultation where you can share your interests and preferences for styles, quantity and price point. Then she scours the cellars across our company to curate your custom order, which is prepared for safe pick up or limited delivery in Seattle & Bainbridge.
